Topic: Low Sugar Banana Walnut Muffin Recipe
Hey all!  Just finished making up this recipe tonight and wanted to share - it turned out so great.  I modified an original banana bread recipe to make it work for us.  Little one is doing great (8 months next week) and I'm still down more than 175 pounds.  Feeling great that I've kept it off and still enjoying my time in the kitchen (especially after little man goes to bed ;-)

Recipe is on the blog at:

Topic: RE: OT: Prayers for those Families in Auroa, Colorado
Hi Laureen,
I was on the plane when the news of the shooting in Colorado happened.  I also was so busy in St. Louis, I had little time on the computer.

I've been praying for the families of all involved in Colorado.  My heart broke the same way it did when the Columbine shootings occurred, as well as 9/11.

I watched the news on Friday, but have intentionally avoided it since.  I'll continue tomorrow.

Thanks for posting this.

Hugs,
Trish

And may we remember these families and victims long after the flurry of news coverage has passed. S a society, we move on to the next thing so easily....while their pain will linger.

You may find a good assortment at your local Vitamin Shoppe. Another option is GNC. They have a not too sweet chocolate protein powder that I like to use from time to time. (I switch off for flavor variations every so often.)

If you get out toward Lancaster, Save Mart drug store has a great selection of protein products. They are located in Fruitville Pike, just off of US 30, between K Mart and Starbucks.

I am in the Philadelphia suburbs and was wondering if anyone had recommendations for protein powders that can be bought around here? I need to add in more protein and am thinking about going back to shakes. TIA and have a great day PA!

Laureen,

I totally agree! This tragedy is just too unbelievable. The feelings I have are the ones that were pretty similar to when 9/11 happened. I can only imagine how the families and victims must have felt during this. Just HORRIBLE!!!

Keeping all of those affected in my thoughts and prayers....

Laureen,

I am happy that you are putting your 25 years of sobriety out there for all to see.  My best friend has recently begun an outpatient program at Live and Grin.  This is the first time that she has taken such a momentous step to learn about her addiction.  There have been long periods of time where she has been sober but she never reached out for help.  Now she is learning about her disease/addiction and is on the path to a better life.  I thank God that she was finally ready to move on this and hope that I can be a friend to her without being an enabler.

Thank you for all that you give to the AA community and the WLS community.  I am a much better person for having you in my life.  Just for today I too am committed to living a cleaner life and not using food in an addictive manner.

Congratulations my friend - sending you a great big hug.  Take care.

Love, Donna
